Jude St. John
serves as West London Alliance Church’s Lead Pastor. Born and raised in London, he came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour in 1984. Jude is happily married to his wife Nicole since 1995. Jude and Nicole have five beautiful children: Ena, Mara, Adele, Judah, and Arwen.
Jude graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Physical Education and graduated from Althouse College with a degree in Education.
Jude enjoyed a 14 year career playing professional football in the Canadian Football League from 1995-2008. After his final year playing for the University of Western Ontario Mustangs, Jude was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. After three years in "Steeltown", Jude signed with the Toronto Argonauts, playing from 1998-2008 which included the highlight 2004 Grey Cup Championship.
In the late 1990s, Jude began as a substitute school teacher then as a full-time teacher in 2009 for Thames Valley District School Board. In 2013, Jude reduced his teaching load to part-time in order to pursue his pastoral career at West London Alliance Church.
Jude’s appetite for theology and preaching began while still playing football. He is a diligent reader who has been influenced by some of Christianity’s long legacy of teachers, both living and dead, which include Jonathan Edwards, John Piper, John Owen, Wayne Grudem, and many more.
Nicole, who stayed at home with the children when they were young, is currently working as an OR nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London. Nicole and Jude have rejoiced as 4 of their 5 children have been married, and the last will be married in 2026. They also rejoice at the gift of 2 grandchildren, both born in 2025.
Jude enjoys many outdoor pursuits, but he is especially fond of hunting and fishing. He also enjoys playing hockey whenever he can get on the ice. He is a “coffee snob” who roasts his own coffee and enjoys drinking coffee with friends and family.
